Janet Foutty is an accomplished senior business leader, technologist, author, and frequent public speaker. She has been published in top-tier business publications including Harvard Business Review, MIT Sloan Management Review, Forbes, and The Wall Street Journal. And, recognized for her leadership by Fortune, Crain’s, Chicago Magazine, AICPA, City Year Chicago, and New York Moves Magazine.
Janet spent over 30 years at Deloitte during which she led numerous businesses through change and growth including technology and government and culminated her Deloitte career by serving as CEO of Deloitte Consulting, and US Board Chair of Deloitte, respectively.
Today, she is parlaying both her leadership experience and passionate advocacy for diversity, equity, and inclusion; women in leadership; and the need for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education by investing her time across non-profit, public policy, growth businesses, and academia with purpose-driven agendas.
She currently serves as chair of Bright Pink, a nonprofit dedicated to young women’s health, and board member of Argonne National Lab, Quiver Biosciences, and The Chicago Network. In addition to her board service, she is serving as an advisor to multiple venture-backed companies as well as government organizations. She recently concluded her board terms with Catalyst, The Millstein Center at Columbia Law School, and Council on Competitiveness (Business Vice-Chair).
Janet holds a Bachelor of Science from Indiana University and a Master of Business Administration in finance from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. She is an inductee of the Kelley School of Business Academy of Alumni Fellows, a member of Indiana University Kelley School of Business Dean’s Council, and served as Kelley School’s Poling Chair for the 2023-2024 academic year.
Janet is proud to call Chicago, Illinois home where she lives with her husband Kent and rescue dog Casper. They have twin adult children, Nora and Ben.
